We must get that Dulcimer out and work on it........geeez......so much to do, so little time.

I have been working a bit (when I have a minute) on a song called Jolene. It is from the movie The Town. I dunno.....just liked it.  And also, Wild Horses as you know Kevin.  I have printed off a couple of songs by Chris Isaak but just haven't made the time to work on them.

Sawblade & Kevin......I know a little of Sweet Home Ala, but I know Simple Man and Tuesday's Gone.......

OK I just learned Margaritaville, pretty simple.

http://www.guitarbackingtrack.com/

Here is a link to a pretty cool site. You can download backing tracks with the guitar parts removed and play along with them. I have a small amp that I plug my laptop into and play the backing tracks thru the amp while I play along. Just like being in the band.

Kev#2 that is a cool website. I am going to check that out. One problem I have is that I dont care to play alone so this might help me play more.

I know margaritaville also.........

I think it might be a good idea that when you have a video lesson to share that they get their own thread. That way when a member wants to look at a video lesson or song that someone posted they don't have to search for it though page after page. and it makes ya'lls music section bigger with lots of topics.

Any Banjo players out there?

I've been practicing, but it doesn't sound any better now then it did when I first picked it up.....lol

I'm having trouble with the rolls, so I'm trying the clawhammer approach.

LOLOL. Clawhammer is the era before Earl Scruggs came alone and started the bluegrass finger pickin'. From what I've read, it's suppose to be easier because your only using one finger and the thumb. Right now though it's all complicated.....lol

I've got the forward roll down, just don't have any speed to it yet. When I try to go faster, I mess up big time.
